The Evil Servant

By

Michael W. Brault

Chapter 1 The Evil Servant. Who is the "Evil servant" that Christ spoke of in Mathew chapter 24:48? Would it be fair to say that the evil servant is a believer in Christ that is waiting for the rapture of the church or the second coming of Christ? He is a servant of Christ that is waiting for everything to happen that is mentioned before verse 48… the two that are in a field where the one is taken and the other is left, etc… Mat 24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; Mat 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; Mat 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, Mat 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

This is a Bible study commentary. The intention is to challenge ourselves to understand, and identify the Evil Servant that Christ spoke of in scripture. Please put on some thick skin. You are probably not going to agree with everything that I have stated because your beliefs are your own. While growing up, I had questions about the bible that were, at times, dismissed by Church leadership and other authorities in my life. Here I am going to share some of my questions and many of the answers that I found. Some things are going to shock you. Some questions I ask, I have left for you to figure out, because I can lead you to the answer but you will not see it in the right way until you challenge your own beliefs in favor of Bible truths. You will find that I repeat things. This is often to highlight an even greater point. Please take notes and research the things I share, on your own. Please read it through to the end. Many questions you have may be answered in other parts of the book, and in unexpected ways.
